An Exciting New Chapter for Australian Furniture Makers

After more than 11 years of designing and manufacturing quality Australian-made beds, Australian Furniture Makers is embarking on an exciting new journey.

Since we began, our focus has been creating practical, durable and beautiful beds for Australian families. Many of our customers know us for our range of children's beds, particularly our popular designs featuring trundles, storage drawers and clever space-saving features. We've been proud to see our furniture become part of thousands of homes across Australia.

Today, we're announcing a significant change in direction for our business.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will gradually phase out our bed range as existing stock is sold. The first product to be retired will be our much-loved Bookworm Bed, which has been one of our most popular designs for many years. Once current stock is exhausted, it will no longer be available, followed by the remainder of our bed collection as stock levels run down.

This has not been an easy decision.

Our bed range has been at the heart of Australian Furniture Makers for more than a decade, and we know many customers have come to trust and recognise us for these products. However, after careful consideration, we believe this change is necessary to allow our business to continue growing and evolving into the future.

As we look ahead, we are excited to focus our manufacturing expertise on a new range of quality hardwood dining tables and occasional furniture, handcrafted from sustainably sourced American Oak.

This new direction allows us to concentrate on creating timeless furniture pieces that can be enjoyed by families for generations. By specialising in hardwood furniture, we can invest more deeply in design, craftsmanship and manufacturing processes, ensuring every piece reflects the quality and attention to detail that Australian Furniture Makers is known for.

For existing customers, we want to provide reassurance that all warranties on previously purchased products will continue to be fully honoured. Our commitment to supporting our customers remains unchanged.
